Wake up and Live (Fic)

Okay, I got requests for a sequel. So. Here. I wrote one. It's short. It's just a ficlet, but IT'S NOT ABOUT CRYING!

GOD people! It's about HEALING! I have tortured Will enough now.
There is a little post-Ironhide/Ratchet lovin' in here.

"You've got it now." Ratchet backed away, letting Will put the last cap back on Ironhide.

"Tell me again, why is he practicing on me?" Ironhide refused to let the shiver of pleasure from feeling Will's hands on him show.

Ratchet, of course, knew. But Will didn't.

It had been six months since the funeral and Will was almost back to normal. He was taking his lessons as an Autobot medic seriously and he did good work. Surprising Ratchet with his ingenuity, Will managed to fix things that even he hadn't been able to.

Now, being small enough to get into where the wires and slivers where was a big help, but that wasn't everything. Will seemed to know how to help any Autobot with any kind of injury.

"Ahh, but this wasn't just practice." Ratchet bowed his head to Will as he climbed off Ironhide, "That was the final test. You pass my friend. You are a certified Autobot Medic."

"What?" Will's eyes widened and he blinked, "That was a test?" He snorted, "Ha! That felt like my old high school mechanics class. Wasn't really that hard."

"You have a way with mechanics that I have rarely seen." Ratchet acknowledged, "It is a strange thing."

"Huh. Well, human medics and doctors are in rare supply as well. But mechanics? A dime a dozen around here. Human's, mostly guys, have this ability to just know how to fix something." Mikaela poked her head up from where she was fixing up Hammertread's left hip.

"Excuse me?"

"Sorry 'Kaela. And some of the best mechanics are women." Will chuckled. There were only so many Autobots willing to be subjects for humans to learn how to be medics. Hammertread was... damaged cognitively, but he was a nice old guy. Like a great-uncle to everyone or something. He was also another weapons soldier. He had more weapons on him then Ironhide and that was saying something.

"I don't understand."

"Well, human bodies are fragile and sometimes, if two people have the same symptoms, they may have two different things wrong with them. If you really want to know more about how difficult the human body can be, you should watch 'House, M.D.'." Will wiped his hands off with the rag from his back pocket. "Ironhide, you want anything? I'm going for coffee."

"No. Thank you."

"Alright. See you guys later!" With a jaunty wave, Will jogged off to the human sized door in the warehouse, patting Hammertread on the shoulder as he passed him.

{You are having strange reactions to Will.} Ratchet had thankfully used a closed commline and Ironhide nodded.

{I... He is a friend.}

{Like we were friends?}

Ironhide smirked at his old lover, {It's too soon yet, but maybe. His hands are warm and they feel very good.} Just to bait the old medic, Ironhide continued, {Warmer then yours. And the places he puts them...}

{Oh shut up.} But Ratchet was smiling and happy.



Bleed and Live

Hammertread is my own Autobot. I figure that some autobots have come to earth and I don't want to mess anyone's views about original Hasbro autobots up, so. Deal.
