Descant, Chapter 4  
Title: Descant, Chapter 4

Verse: Bayverse/movieverse, with some G1 additions
Characters/Pairing: this chapter--Ravage, Soundwave, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ratbat, Flipsides, Red Alert, plus various OCs.

Warnings/Notes:Soundwave-centric, this fic is the immediate sequel to 'Sound and Fury' and 'Anamnesis', and takes place in the same continuity as 'Giants of the Earth', but is set hundreds of thousands of years earlier, on prewar Cybertron. The character designs, for the most part, are movie-verse with the addition of G1 colors and minor modifications as needed. Warnings for non-explicit mentions of genocide/infanticide for this chapter.

Soundwave needs time to heal--but it doesn't look like he's going to get it.

Soundwave considered it. “Query: consequences if these metals cannot be acquired?” Would the self-repair processes merely stall, waiting until sufficient raw materials could be provided? Or would the damaged remnants of his panels seal off and be forever unusable, barring complete replacement by a skilled medic or creator-mech?

Adventures with Autobots, Chapter Nine  
I've been so focused on my DOTM-based fics that I've neglected to update this story since the Christmas Special.  To make up for that, here's a light-hearted piece for you all to enjoy!


Story: Adventures with Autobots, Chapter 9
Chapter Title: I Feel Old
Rating: K+ (Just to be safe)
Characters: Will, Sarah, Annabelle, Ironhide, Bumblebee (mentioned), Sam(mentioned)
Pairings: Will/Sarah
Takes Place: One month before Revenge of the Fallen
Spoiler Warnings: Reading the novels/comics/seeing the movies helps.
Other Warnings: Kiddie Interaction
Teaser: Ironhide is charged with babysitting Annabelle Lennox for a short while. He thinks that after raising Bumblebee, watching a human child will be easy. Hoo, boy, Ironhide, are you in for a surprise.

Ironhide's usually gruff demeanor and reputation as a tough old warrior had made him the Autobot that the others thought was the least likely to form any close friendship with a human. But he had; his friendship with Will had started on the day he had given the human a lift back to his home; their discussions on the way to the Lennox home had made him discover a kindred spirit in the human-a soldier who also had a family he cared deeply about. And, through Will, Ironhide had become close to the immediate Lennox family-Will, of course, his wife, Sarah, and their now two-year-old daughter, Annabelle. At first, the humans weren't sure if the integration of a Transforming alien robot into their family would work (even though Bumblebee had proved it possible with his acceptance into the Witwicky family), it had actually turned out rather well. And now, two years after the Mission City incident, Ironhide was firmly a member of and guardian over the Lennox family.

Warnings/Notes:Takes place after DOTM, with minor tweaks to movieverse events/characters (so there are minor spoilers for the third movie). Most of the characterizations will be taken more from G1--especially Optimus, who is *not* the 'kill 'em all, let Primus sort 'em out' character he is in the movies. Most of the onscreen 'deaths' of Decepticons and Autobots have also fallen victim to authorial override--see the fic for details. :) Many thanks also go to fractalserpent for being a wonderful enabler and editor!


“And here I thought we were done with this slag,” Ratchet grumbled to Jazz as they headed into Operations. The cavern was looking nominally better than it had a few months ago; Wheeljack and Que’s combined efforts had gotten more of the recovered equipment from the Ark up and running. Which meant less reliance on jury-rigged human tech, which was all to the good; if Jazz never saw another ‘blue screen of death’ again, he would die a very happy ‘bot.

Day of the Black Sun, Chapter Twelve  
I really didn't intend for there to be such a long gap in-between this chapter and the last one, but I hit a little snag towards the beginning and couldn't continue until I figured out what I was doing wrong.  Luckily, I did, and now, waaaaaay too late than it should be, this chapter is finally finished!

Note: This fic does not take place within the same branch of the movie continuity as my pre-DOTM fics do.  Adventures with Autobots will not be impacted by this storyline-wise.

Teaser: While Blaster continues to recover, the information gathered by Sideswipe, Diesel, and Computron proves disturbing enough for the Autobots step up their training regime, and Firestorm teaches new flying techniques to Optimus and Silverbolt.

Diesel's statement caused the other Autobots present to let out various cries and hisses of outrage; Firestorm, Mirage and Ratchet all looked angry, and even Optimus found himself struggling to hold back his fury at what the Decepticons had wanted to do. Next to Diesel, Computron and Sideswipe looked at each other; they hadn't heard what the Decepticons had planned to do until now, and they were both horrified at the thought of what would have happened to Blaster if they hadn't arrived in time to get him and Diesel away.

The Kaon Arena is not a kind place for little mecha ... or for big ones, either.

Slowly, every micron of his frame tensed to move, Soundwave lifted his empty hands, stepping backwards. Airframes and frontliners were volatile at the best of times, Seekers even more so, and all his analyses of the situation told him the uselessness of trying to protest his innocence. Freefall didn’t want soothing words, or calm rationality. He wanted a scapegoat.

Summary: In the darkness of Shockwave's lair, one captive Autobot unravels the truth of the war as he is forced to recall all incarnations of his existence        

In which a spark onlines to its second go at life and a medic, a scientist and an enforcer receive the strangest charge

Note: Inspired mainly by the fanon trope of bringing Jazz back to life after the 2007 mission. My brain played around with the concept of cybertronian reincarnation until it was satisfied with an explanation for it. Then promptly gave a long plot to go along with it.
